Seeking a product line to fulfil this objective took us to Maine, USA where the boatbuilding industry dates back hundreds of years and has produced builders who are fiercely proud and extremely skilled at their craft. Knowledgeable Australian boaties share a passion for practical, functional vessels that are designed to stand up to the harsh climate and conditions present in coastal and offshore regions. Back Cove Yachts, in Rockland, Maine are at the forefront of the latest technologies in boatbuilding and create exceptional vessels that incorporate traditional good looks and timeless style, with modern practicality, comforts and ease of maintenance. Powered by a single diesel engine with shaft drive, coupled with a standard bow thruster for dockside manoeuvrability, Back Cove initially produced models 26 and 29 feet in length. The enormous success of these models, and the 29 in particular, saw the range expand to include a 33 in 2007, with a fantastic “galley up” layout.
An all new 37 was released in 2009 and was the first Back Cove to incorporate state of the art infusion moulding techniques throughout for a virtually flawless fit and finish, a method of construction that has now been incorporated in the entire product line. 2011 brought the introduction of the all-new Back Cove 30, which replaced the 29 and has received numerous accolades and awards from boating experts the world around, including being named Best Weekender by Trade-a-Boat Magazine in Australia. In July 2013, Back Cove launched the awesome new Downeast 37 which features a cockpit that is simply the largest available in a boat her size, bar none. Elegant proportions and fantastic performance are a hallmark of all Back Cove Yachts and in 2015 the all new 41 was released, a true cruising vessel with the size and range to spend extended time on board and make coastal passages in confidence and comfort.
In 2019, Back Cove kicked it up another notch and entered the outboard market with the introduction of the 34O, capitalising on the benefits of modern fours stroke outboard technology without sacrificing the outstanding characteristics that make her uniquely a Back Cove. An instant success, the Back Cove Design team immediately embarked on developing yet another all new model, launched in 2021, the Back Cove 39O. Amazing performance, whisper quiet operation and rock solid build quality that will ensure reliable, safe operation for generations continue.
Based on our success with Back Cove Yachts, we were appointed exclusive dealer for Australia and New Zealand for sister company, Sabre Yachts, representing their exquisite Motor Yacht range from 38 to 66 feet.
